About Timothy L. Dupree

Attorney Timothy L. Dupree is a native of Kansas City, Kansas. He is a 1994 graduate of Wyandotte High School. He attended Kansas City Kansas Community College where he received his Associate degree in 1999. In 2001 he graduated from the University of Kansas where he earned his Bachelor degree in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies. He furthered his education at Washburn University School of Law earning his Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) with a certificate in Family Law in 2003.

While at Washburn University Mr. Dupree served as President of the Black Law Student Association and as a Student Ambassador for the Department of Law School Admissions.

He was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 2004. Shortly after, he accepted a position with the Lyon County Attorney’s Office as Assistant County Attorney in Emporia, Kansas.

As a prosecutor, Mr. Dupree prosecuted a variety of cases, including sex crimes, violent crimes, felony narcotics crimes, DUI cases, and other misdemeanors and lower level crimes. Further, Mr. Dupree has filed, briefed and argued cases in front of both, the Kansas Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.

After proudly serving Lyon County for nearly four years, Mr. Dupree decided to pursue his own dream by founding the Law Office of Timothy L. Dupree, P.A.

In addition to representing individual clients, Mr. Dupree endeavors to contribute to society. In pursuing that goal, Mr. Dupree has had the privilege of being guest speaker for numerous groups. Such groups include, Emporia State University, University of Kansas, Washburn University School of Law and several other schools, churches and community groups.

Mr. Dupree’s professional memberships include the Kansas Bar Association, the Lyon County Bar Association, the Wyandotte County Bar Association, and the Johnson County Bar Association.
